A simple dream
In 1979, Hilton and Jaqui Loon bought a lodge in the greater Kruger area. Their dream? To create a luxury home in the heart of the bush. However, it quickly became clear that that their role was not one of ownership but as custodians responsible for safeguarding the animals, the land, and her people.
Fuelled by the support of fellow visionaries, this dream of community, conservation and sharing evolved into the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. Today, this luxury sanctuary in the greater Kruger area continues to earn global recognition for its authentic safari experiences and commitment to sustainable conservation, eco-tourism and community initiatives.
The reserve also served as the springboard for our next chapter of growth: The formation of the Sabi Sabi Collection.
